What is InstallCore?

If you plan to install applications, presentations, drivers plug-ins etc. on customer PCs, it is usually not sufficient to simply copy the files over. (Besides, this solution does not meet the demands of today's users at software installations.) With increasingly capable operating systems, the steps required to install a program are becoming more complex too. You have to register files, write to the registry, create shortcuts, and provide an autonatic uninstall feature.
MF-Soft InstallCore offers all this - and more. The program is easy to use and can create a setup from a couple of project specifications. Plus, you can manage different program versions seperately and create automatic updates (patches).

What makes InstallCore different than other setup authoring tools?

MF-Soft has developed a developer interface named SRS (Software Recognition System) as the answer to often unconsistent and cumbersome software installation. This inteface supports a number of script commands for application installation. Log files and undo scripts are created for each process, so that providing support will be very easy. The SRS interface is completely independant from InstallCore.
InstallCore itself is very easy to use. The setups generated by it are compact and can be run without an executable installer. Because the are based on SRS, there is no need for installer features, resulting in a solid but editable SRS script. Only InstallCore offers such a high level of control over the final setup.

May I freely distribute setups created with InstallCore?

Yes, of course! You may not only download InstallCore for free, but you are also allowed to distribute setups created with it free of charge. The same applys to the SRS runtime (a self-extracting install is included with the program).
